The foundational pillars of the Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement initiative
The RTCQI initiative puts a strong emphasis on trainings at all levels
The Quality Corps program is one of the innovative approaches in RTCQI which assists in strengthening the Community Point-of-Care Testing quality assurance network, while ensuring national coverage of HTS. The Q-corp officers or quality champions help to drive the implementation of quality assurance measures for HIV testing and to increase their uptake.
The RTCQI initiative is continuing to expand beyond HIV rapid testing to multi-diseases and platforms. New innovations are being deployed to assure the quality of other point of care tests such as the rapid test for recent infection, urine-based ARV tests, point of care molecular HIV tests, TB-LAM and lateral flow CD4 tests. The QAC concept is also being integrated into more multifaceted testing platforms and assays.
